Lamb-Spinach Sandwich
Ingredients:
2 tomatoes, slices
1 cup spinach, chopped
1 hard boiled eggs, sliced
8 thin slices of cucumber
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 lettuce leaves
3 round buns, halved and buttered
1 tbsp butter
1 cup lean lamb mince, cooked
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp ginger paste
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1 green chilli. chopped finely
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp cumin seeds powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat butter in a pan
2. Fry onion till transparent
3. Add ginger-garlic paste
4. Add lamb mince and simmer for 5 min
5. Add chilli, cumin powder, salt
6. Add coriander leaves and soy sauce
7. Cook for another 5 min
8. Remove from fire. Make 3 parts of meat
9. On 3 halves of bun put lettuce leaves
10. Put meat parts on it
11. Top with egg slices
12. Top with tomato and cucumber slices
13. Put the chopped spinach over it
14. Mix pepper powder with mayonnaise
15. On the remaining halves of buns apply mayonnaise on the inner side
16. Put these halves on the stuffed halves
17. Bake it for 10 min in moderate oven at 450 oF
18. Serve with french fries
Sausage Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 bread rolls
2 potatoes, peeled and sliced
400 gms sausages, blanched
1 cup grated cheese
butter
lettuce leaves
1 cup thin onion slices
2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp oil
1-1/2 cup tomato puree
1/2 tsbp cornflour
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/8 tsp dry ginger powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp garlic paste
1/4 cup grated cheese
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan
2. Add onion, 1/4 tsp garlic paste, salt and 1/4 tsp pepper powder
3. Fry till onion are brown
4. Remove from fire and keep aside
1. Dissolve cornflour in 2 tbsp water
2. Add 2 tbsp oil in same pan
3. Add tomato puree, cornflour paste
4. Stir continuously so no lumps are formed
5. Add garlic paste and all powders
6. Add celery and grated cheese
7. Cook till sauce is thick
8. Remove from fire and let is cool
1. Roast the potatoes slices in oven or deep fry
2. In a skillet brown the sausages
3. Warm the rolls for 5 min
4. Split the rolls in to halves
5. Apply butter on inner sides of rolls
6. Put lettuce leaves on 4 halves of rolls
7. Top it with sausages evenly on all 4 halves
8. Spread sauce over the sausage layer
9. Top it with brown onion and grated cheese (evenly)
10. Finally cover with the remaining halves
11. Serve with wafers
French Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 tsp chilli paste
Salt as per taste
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1 cup shredded cheese
4 slices bread
Method:
1. In a big bowl whisk egg and milk till well blended
2. Mix chilli paste, salt and pepper powder
3. Dip 2 bread slices in this mixture (soak both the sides of bread)
4. Place the breads on the baking dish
5. Spread cheese over the slices and garnish with celery
6. Dip the remaining slices in the mixture
7. Place it on the top of cheese covered bread
8. Bake at 350 oc for 15 min.
9. Turn around
10. Bake for another 10-15 min till both sides are golden brown
11. Serve with chips
